Revealed: The top 50 mobile & cell phone websites
Posted in Chat To Us Insider, Website Crackers, Other Business Craps by: ChetanWhen China Mobile overtook Vodafone as the biggest mobile phone company in the world last week we started thinking about which companies had the biggest websites. There are a variety of mobile & cell phone sites on the web from handset manufacturers, networks and retailers to news, reviews and forum sites and its often hard to pick out which have the most influence and the largest user base.
In this study we have picked the top 50 websites in terms of visibility for key phrases on various search engines and conducted some research into their traffic figures. If your favourite site is not listed please let us know and the table will be updated. Traffic analysis was conducted using the Alexa rankings. Alexa data is not 100% accurate but for websites with a rank of less than 100,000 it is generally regarded as a very good indication of relative traffic.
The data is very interesting especially for the retailers who no doubt have spotted the rankings of their competitors and are either very pleased or disappointed with how they are placed. China Mobile seems to have cemented its number 1 position ahead of all the usual major players. Orange.co.uk has seen a large traffic jump recently after it merged with Wanadoo and started offering broadband services in the UK.
Phonescoop leads the news sites in 10th place but it’s a surprise to see vodafone.com down in 24th spot – the regional variations are clearly getting most of their traffic.
The traffic ranking figures in the table relate to the position that the site holds in relation to all other sites on the web. You can see the top 500 sites as a guide, Yahoo, MSN and Google are the top 3.

Find Out What The Strongest Directories Are : From Aviva Source
Posted in Chat To Us Insider, Reviews by: ChetanCheck out this one :
I was searching for some nice and Search Engine Friendly Directories to submit my sites and found this cool link : Find Out What The Strongest Directories Are
It has a big list Of Directories that have paid listings. The directories are ranged according to Page Strength from 10 to 1 and also the prices and Submission Types are given there. The List is very helpful for people searching for strong directories by which they can rank better in Search Engines.
I saw in many places that people say they have a better Page Rank and they make the submissions paid although the submissions have not much use. This list is truly having SE friendly Directories.
Feeling proud to write a review about the List which has impressed me a lot and i would like to share it with others so that they get the best selected directory list from there.
Also This is their directory which u all can submit. It is Strong Indeed.
Good Discussion of Wordpress vs. Blogger.
Posted in Chat To Us Insider by: ChetanI was just checking some blogging discussion going over here
Advantages of blogger
Hosted elsewhere so does not us e your bandwidth
If used as an add-on for you site, it will count as another backlink
If your site goes down your blog will still be live
Advantage of other blogs
Hosted on your server so you have full control of it
Looks more professional if the blog is within the same domain as the main site
Hosted on your own server = more pages in index of the search engines for your domain
Why is Wordpress better you ask?
- it’s far more advanced in the progress of the actual application as a whole
- the support community is amazing to work with and help with
- the dev team is an amazing group of people that travel around the world gaining new experience and taking in new ideas to help improve the application everytime a new release is finished
- the flexibility of the internal functionality is astounding. The code loops can be tweaked, changed, morphed, and worked into however and whatever you want them to be.
- the default admin panel is ‘nice’ to the eye when looking at it 2-3 hours/day
- every, I mean EVERY, aspect of your site can be changed. I’ve used it for a magazine, a regular weblog, a complete community portal, a business site, a news release site, a promotional tool, and much more. the possibilities are endless.
- it’s free and doesn’t depend on anything else except your own server
- it has a SWEET name.
- it’s wordpress, need I say more?
You would love Word Press by the sounds of things.
SEO optimization on Word Press is not difficult. Using plugings for tags and friendly url’s makes things more easy.
Not having categories on Blogger was something I disliked as well and to add them was a lot of work, I found. Word Press categories is amazing as its extremly easy to use.
Finding a new word press plug-in and trying it out has turned into a new hobby for me - there are so many out there.
I am still confused which type of Blogging is the best in terms of SEO although i use Wordpress.
