Came Through Tagoon! technorati and digg together!!!
Posted in Other Business Craps, Reviews by: ChetanSeen technorati, digg and most popular blog related featured site options at one place? I have recently visited a website Tagoon.com which has total Digg integration which displays the new and upcoming stories in the Digg site and the automated tagging program. Everything featured about digg is automated.
And similar to technorati, it has blog rankings according to tags and other stuff. Many good features of technorati and there are rankings of Blogs, Blog authors, blog article tagging and much more.
Being a blogger, i was very well attracted by it and i think this site is targeted to mainly attract more and more bloggers by adding the features that are useful and needed by bloggers. I got all the good stoies and posts there and direct links to Digg the story, information about the blog and option to myself blog the story.
Apart from the normal stories, there are direct links to interesting Youtube videos which can be dugged directly from the site. And technorati has given the data which has been used to display the current blog ranking of a particlular blog.
So this is the way the documentation of the blog ranking works, explained in that page and let me tell u that tagoon works on testing and checking regularly all the activities of your blog and you can add the tagoon badge in your blog to display your blog ranking and for bloggers with ranking of below 1000 get special ranking badges and it’s all fun and interesting for bloggers!

Revealed: The top 50 mobile & cell phone websites
Posted in Chat To Us Insider, Other Business Craps, Website Crackers by: ChetanWhen China Mobile overtook Vodafone as the biggest mobile phone company in the world last week we started thinking about which companies had the biggest websites. There are a variety of mobile & cell phone sites on the web from handset manufacturers, networks and retailers to news, reviews and forum sites and its often hard to pick out which have the most influence and the largest user base.
In this study we have picked the top 50 websites in terms of visibility for key phrases on various search engines and conducted some research into their traffic figures. If your favourite site is not listed please let us know and the table will be updated. Traffic analysis was conducted using the Alexa rankings. Alexa data is not 100% accurate but for websites with a rank of less than 100,000 it is generally regarded as a very good indication of relative traffic.
The data is very interesting especially for the retailers who no doubt have spotted the rankings of their competitors and are either very pleased or disappointed with how they are placed. China Mobile seems to have cemented its number 1 position ahead of all the usual major players. Orange.co.uk has seen a large traffic jump recently after it merged with Wanadoo and started offering broadband services in the UK.
Phonescoop leads the news sites in 10th place but it’s a surprise to see vodafone.com down in 24th spot – the regional variations are clearly getting most of their traffic.
The traffic ranking figures in the table relate to the position that the site holds in relation to all other sites on the web. You can see the top 500 sites as a guide, Yahoo, MSN and Google are the top 3.

About Page Can Help The Readers
Posted in Other Business Craps by: ChetanThis is an article i found from Problogger which is truly telling that An About page helps out the reader and navigate better,
Check the best points :
Key Features for Your About Page
So what should an About Page include?
This is really a matter of personal preference and something I’d like to hear your opinions on but here are a few things I include on some of my blog’s about pages:
- Photo: I like to see some sort of picture of the person I’m reading. It definitely adds something for me.
- Blog objectives: Succinctly sum up the point of your blog. What is it about? What will readers gain from it?
- Introduce Yourself: You probably want to keep your introduction down to a short one - but particularly talk about your experience with the topic you’re writing about. Why should they listen to you? What is your context and background?
- Introduce Blogging: Depending on your topic you might want to introduce the idea of a blog (or at least link to an article/post about it. Many first time blog readers don’t understand things like categories, comments, RSS etc. Also point them at some good starting points in your blog - key articles etc.
- Contact Details: I’m planning a longer post on this later - but consider giving your readers a way of getting in touch with you. Again its about transparency and interactivity.
And Darren also says that in his blog, the most viewed pages are the About Pages in his blog.
